If you want to play Wii games on the Pi you should try my config. It doesn't help that Gaming on Linux on a competent gaming PC sucked as well. Quite honestly though, it could've been because I was using GNOME (GNOME For Pi, because in my biased opinion, it's one of the easiest and best ways to get GNOME desktop on the Pi) I was using box86 for steam at the time (I used pi-apps), I would login, then my game library never showed up. I agree, the GPU is the worst thing on the Pi, the CPU is plenty.Īs I said at the time, dreamcast emulation is fine. ![]() Have you tried Box86? Many of my PC games run full speed with it. I never tried Shadow the Hedgehog in Dolphin, but Sonic Adventure 2 runs great on the Pi! 40-50FPS in 50hz mode. Then again, who knows? After all, OpenJK (Jedi Academy) runs VERY well on the Pi4 In fact, most of my issues with Pi (in the general computing space) come down to the graphics. Honestly, it's the graphics that really take a toll on the Pi. ![]() GOG seems to be the most valid option for a mainstream game provider that might support the Pi in the future (being optimistic) Now of course, emulation is a different story to the X86 gaming scen for the pi. I ran shadow the hedgehog on my Pi, and it performed quite badly. Dreamcast emulation was absolutely fine, my problem was Gamecube and wii. Honestly my experience of gaming on the Pi has not been particularly great.
